It All began with an Old Used Camera
My name is Delbert Zimmerman. I’m an Nature Photographer living in southeast Pennsylvania, United States. I have a lovely wife and one young son. I enjoy hiking and traveling as well. My love for photography started when I was around fourteen. I purchased a cheap 2 megapixel digital camera at a yard sale. It was amazing to see the pictures after I took them on that little low resolution screen. I photographed just about everything no matter how boring it seemed. Most photos were complete garbage but they were important to me and kindled a passion for photography. The novelty wore off, and by the time I was seventeen, photography did not interest me much anymore. On trips occasionally, I would feel the passion coming back. When covid hit in 2020, I found myself needing a hobby to take my mind off of things. I decided to purchase a new camera. The creative itch came back in full force, and I spent a lot of free time outside photographing or watching photography videos to improve. In the beginning of 2022 I purchased a Fuji xt3.
